Valentine's Day– a day of love all around!
We're sharing some of our most memorable Valentine's treats, crafts and gifts enjoyed throughout the toddler and elementary school years.
We'll take any excuse to eat cupcakes! Baking and decorating cupcakes is a fun activity to do with the kiddos, albeit a lot of work for the grown ups. When we're feeling a little less ambitious, we happily purchase treats from our favorite local bakery, Dots in Pasadena. They offer cute and delicious Valentine's Day themed cupcakes each year!
We've tried to consistently give out class cards and a little treat every Valentine's Day since preschool. We've completely forgotten Valentine's Day cards every now and then. Other years, we purchased boxed cards from the store– the ones that conveniently had something like a sticker or eraser already included. But, on those few rare occasions, when time and creative energy allowed, we really did enjoy making our own cards and/or crafting budget-friendly class trinkets (shown below).

We have an awesome friend who gifted us this homemade chocolate heart pinata. This was a really fun one! When we cracked open the chocolate heart with the tiny wooden hammer, we were delighted to find a small pile of the freshest and most delicious caramels made by Good Karmal.
A while back, we were inspired by Valentine's Day. We wanted to design a shirt for the holiday that would be worn for more than just for one day out of the year. We made this front and back print "Dinosaur Love" kids t-shirt. The "Love" collection has since expanded with additional character designs. Find the complete collection here.

There's just something about temporary tattoos that little kids love. Stickers and temporary tattoos. So, for 2025, Svolta Valentine's Day goodies include Rockstar-themed downloadable cards and temporary tattoos made with non-toxic ink.
